ABOUT ME
My name is Asma! I am a writer, editor, and subject matter expert on the Middle East and North Africa. Occasionally, I translate Arabic to English content, and vice versa.
Prior to freelancing, I worked in strategic communication for non-profit organizations and public relations companies. I have written blogs, op-eds, talking points and speeches. I also managed social media content (English and Arabic) on behalf of clients.
I lived in the Middle East and North Africa and studied International Affairs and Economics. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking, reading a history book, or watching a true crime docuseries. I live in Virginia with my three kids and two cats.
